Victoria Beckham shows off her ultra thin pins in a pair of tight jeans as she catches flight in L.A.

She usually covers up her legs in one of her midi dresses teamed with a pair of knee-high boots.

But Victoria Beckham showed off her super skinny legs in a pair of tight jeans as she arrived at Luton airport yesterday.
The mother-of-four's pin appeared extremely trim in the tiny trousers which she wore with a V-neck black jumper.

Teeny-tiny legs: Victoria Beckham's pin looked even slimmer than normal as she made her way through Luton airport yesterday

Nigeria Football: Falconets Coach drops Uchechi, 6 others

World Cup Silver Medalist, Uchechi Sunday has been decamped.

Falconets Chief Coach, Edwin Okon dropped the player on Tuesday evening along with six others to reduce the number of players in camp to 25.

Uchechi plays for FA Cup winners, Rivers Angels, and featured for the U-20 Women National Team that placed second at the 2010 FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany and Super Falcons that failed to qualify for the 2012 Olympics.

Others dropped are Vivian Okotie, Lola Phillips, Bukola Oguinnoiki, Jane David, Tina Oge and Aguawaba Chineyen.

As painful as it was, Okon however thanked the players for their efforts while reminding those left to continue to give their best in training.

"At this time, your efforts must be extra ordinary to make the team," he said. Just last week, five players were decamped.

Only 25 players will make the training tour to South Korea with another four dropped for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup which begins on August 18 in Japan. Nigeria has been drawn against Korea Republic, Brazil and Italy in Group B.

Gov Fashola hands over new Federation Cup to NFF

At an impressive ceremony inside the Council Chambers of Lagos State
Governor’s Office, Alausa, Ikeja on Monday, the Executive Governor of
Lagos State, Alhaji Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) handed over the
brand-new, all-silver, giant-size Federation Cup competition trophy to
the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation.

Governor Fashola took a break from the Executive Council meeting to
meet NFF President Aminu Maigari, 1st Vice President Mike Umeh,
Executive Committee Members Chris Green and Ayodeji Tinubu, General
Secretary Musa Amadu, Lagos State FA chairman Seyi Akinwunmi, deputy
chairman Tade Azeez and other members of LSFA. And in the full glare
of his full Council, Fashola handed over the trophy saying he wanted
the Federation Cup grand finale never to leave Lagos again.

Lagos State Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Social Development,
Hon. Wahid Enitan Oshodi introduced the members of the NFF and LSFA,
saying the donation of a new trophy for the Federation Cup competition
served to underscore the Governor Fashola’s continued support for the
growth of Nigeria football.

In his remark, Governor Fashola noted that the Federation Cup, which
had been variously known as Challenge Cup and FA Cup, boasts a rich
history, not only in Nigeria but round the universe, saying that
legends have been made from the event. He recalled great Nigerian
names like Muyiwa Oshode, Ismaila Mabo, Haruna Ilerika of blessed
memory and the expressive Kenneth Olayombo.

“The donation of this new trophy is to re-inforce my suggestion that
the final of the Federation Cup should not leave Lagos State again.
This is because, this is where it all started. The final of English FA
Cup has been played at Wembley for as long as anyone can remember,
except for the few years that the venue was not available.

“With a definite venue, players and teams generally will look forward
to a destination and a dream. That adds to the glamour of the
competition. It is our hope that this new trophy will rekindle great
competition and re-awaken Nigerians’ interest in the Federation Cup,”
said Governor Fashola.

Responding, NFF President Aminu Maigari extolled Governor Fashola and
expressed the appreciation of the football-governing body for the huge
support it continues to receive from the Government and good people of
Lagos State for its programmes.

He hailed the motive behind the idea of a new, all-silver trophy for
the Federation Cup, while commending the Lagos State government for
several initiatives, innovations and excellent football development
programmes personally powered by Governor Fashola himself.

Incidentally, Lagos is one of the four centres for the group stage of
this year’s Federation Cup competition, which began on Monday. The
grand finale of this year’s competition has been set for Sunday,
August 26 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere.

The other centres are Bauchi, Ibadan and Port Harcourt.

Benin FA troubles scrap Flying Eagles, Squirrels match

Internal wranglings within the Beninoise Football Federation that
generated a court injunction has led to the cancellation of Sunday’s
international friendly match between the U-20 Men’s Team of Nigeria,
Flying Eagles and the Young Squirrels of that country.

The Flying Eagles, reigning champions of Africa, were on their way to
Lagos for the game when the Nigeria Football Federation received
information that the Beninoise team would no longer be able to travel
as a result of a court injunction against the sitting administration
in the FBF.

“It is unfortunate. The technical crew and players of the Flying
Eagles already had their minds set on the match and were fully focused
to gain something out of it. We had mobilized for the team’s movement
and accommodation and other logistics in Lagos, before the unfortunate
information from FBF, “ said NFF General Secretary, Barrister Musa
Amadu.

Amadu said the NFF will arrange more matches for the Flying Eagles
before their 2013 African Youth Championship qualifier against
Tanzania in Dar es Salaam in a fortnight.

“We want the team to be well-prepared for the fixture and a number of
Premier League clubs could be drafted in to give them quality friendly
matches. We are working hard on that.”

Also on Friday, the Tanzania Football Federation confirmed that the
2013 African Youth Championship qualifying match between the Young
Taifa Stars and the Flying Eagles in Dar es Salaam on July 29 will be
played on natural grass pitch.

First Interview with Liverpool FC's Fabio Borini

After completing his move to Anfield Fabio Borini spoke to the club site to give an insight on everything we can look forward to and lots more from the new number 29.

When asked about how it feels to officially be a red..

It feels really good – and to be back in England as well. It’s a top club that has won a lot of trophies in the past – and will do so in the future we hope as well. I’ve got the trust of the manager and the club, which for me is very nice and I’m proud to be here.

Borini was quizzed on Brendan Rodgers and what it is like to play for the manager..

He was very important. I wouldn’t say it was the key, but most of it came from him. Even during last season, I spoke with him a lot. I’d text him and ask if he was okay and congratulated him on the results he got with Swansea. First of all it is a relationship of friendship and afterwards it is a working one. That is more important than anything.

I used to play 4-3-3 with him and he is very good to play football for. It is great to play football for him because you can have fun and you can get results. I could see at Swansea the people loved him because the football was attractive. People like to see football (played) like this.

They will certainly see football players that want to win, and that will always work for the team rather than themselves. Liverpool wants to get results and that’s what we’ll try to do.

Asked to describe his talents as a footballer…

I’d describe myself as a player that never gives up and I run a lot. I had difficult times at Chelsea when I was younger because I came from Italy. It was very difficult, I tried to be strong for myself and demonstrate to people I could do it. That is an achievement I have made and why I am here.

Borini said this of his excitement of being able to play along side Luis Suarez..

A lot because he is maybe another player who is similar to me because he works very hard in every game. I’ve watched a few games, and all of Europe wants him.Every player wants to play with him, so it will be a pleasure.

About the history and his ambitions Borini was positive in saying…

Yes, I am aware of it. I remember the Champions League final against AC Milan. It is very important to have this important past because you can bring it to the future and try to remake the past.

I hope to achieve the maximum I can, by scoring goals, getting into the Champions League and all of the things the club also wants – and all the other players.

A message for

the fans..

There’s not especially one, but I think with Brendan they will see good football!

I met with the shy and soft-spoken John Utaka during his holiday in Abuja and below is the excerpt of our chat:

SPORTDIVA - How Will You rate the present super eagles squad?
<>

UTAKA- honestly its a good squad because itd the combination of the foreign and local based but as for me we are all professionals. The spirit is high and everyone wants to make a positive Impact.

SPORTDIVA- How would you rate the performance so far, all through the qualifiers both at home and away?

UTAKA- it was good, we are all cooperating with each other and we are all doing a great Job.

SPORTDIVA- Since your carEer begins, what has been your achievements so far?

UTAKA- I have enjoyed much of my career, I've achieved a whole lot too as a footballer I have done so well with most teams that I've worked with though there's been ups and downs in the game, good moment with the teams, and I can see the level of discipline in the present squad of Nigerian super eagles.

SPORTDIVA- what was that point that you've been down in your career?

UTAKA-every match for me is a challenge, you face a lot of things in football we train everyday, we play for close to 12mths all this are challenges. I've never been down since the beginning of my career as a professional but every match I'm playing is a challenge.

SPORTDIVA-which one of the local based player has impressed you so far?

UTAKA- Majority of them does obiora nwankwo, reuben gabriel, Azubuike and the rest of them, practically they are all good with different quality we have to balance the both.

SPORTDIVA- which Team will you want us to play in the FIFA free window for international friendly match?

UTAKA- honestly I really don't have any team in mind but if I want to choose I would want us to play south africa, it won't be a bad choice I think.

SPORTDIVA- Going Forward do you think we need more Foreign Based players in the Team?

UTAKA- practically we need everything, we need everyone what matters most is the level of the game now.

SPORTDIVA- You recently Launched your foundation in London, How was it?

UTAKA- it went well there was good turn out and we got a lot of support from around the world it was also to create awareness and help the less-priviledge that's what the foundation is all about

SPORTDIVA- what's the aim of John Utaka Foundation?

UTAKA- it help the less priviledged children, we provide scholarships for them, clothe them, get them shelter and basic amenities, we are open to volunteers, people with the same passion, humanitarians, people to donate materials to the cause, partners, sponsors and corporate body collaborations, we can heal the world and make it a better place by helping the children who are future of tomorrow.

SPORTDIVA- How soon are you likely to retire from active football?

UTAKA- (laughing) I'm just starting now, common! I've been with the national team for over 11years, my club won the French League, and I will be playing at the champions league so I'm not going to retire soon.

SPORTDIVA- Are you Married?
UTAKA- Not Yet

SPORTDIVA- when are you getting married and how soon?

UTAKA- (smiling now) I will be getting married real soon, its in my plan and you all will get to know about it when it comes. Thank You

Exclusive Interview with the Head Coach of the Nigerian Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi

SPORTDIVA: WHAT WAS YOUR REACTION TO THE GAME THAT WAS PLAYED AGAINST RWANDA, ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF YOUR BOYS?

KESHI: well the performance is not totally good but the result of the match Yes, I’m very satisfied.

SPORTDIVA: HOW WAS THE SPIRIT IN CAMP?

KESHI: the spirit is so high everybody was focusing everything was good, I can see the boys they go out to pray together every night which is very good it was good, it was three weeks very tough travelling al l the time but we thank God it went well

SPORTDIVA: HOW WOULD YOU REACT TO THE CRITICISM THAT THE BOYS LABOURED FOR THE MATCH INSTEAD OF PLAYING?

KESHI: they have to labour to score goals, there’s no small team anymore Nigerians has to understand that, this team was put together under three weeks Im not sure if Nigerians really know that this team has not been put together, it’s not really a team but a collective of players that we try to put together in three weeks to play a team that has been together for four years to five years and we want miracle, if Nigerians to learn how to ne patient to build the team then we will never get it right, it will always be oh 1994 but Nigerians then were patient with him, with support of the federal government aikhomu, Babangida, abiola and he started building until he finally got what he want if we don’t do that no mourinho or capello will make that happen they should have patient and trust the local boys because we all come from the same place, utaka, aiyegbeni, mikel obi all started from home but somebody gave them the opportunity to grow so why must you be that impatient to give other young talented the same opportunity to grow until we realize there’s no other way to develop a team than to be patient and build; that patient means you play some games, loose some games and that’s how its

SPORTDIVA: WHATS YOUR NEXT STEP?

KESHI: my next step is to try to get more home based players and give more opportunities to young Nigerians playing abroad playing professionally and also bring in other experienced players; we need to blend them together.

SPORTDIVA:FOR THE FIRST TIME IN OVER 20YEARS NO COACH HAS EVER USED 7PLAYERS TO START A COMPETITIVE GAME AND TEY DELIVERED NIGERIANS ARE ASKIING, WHAT GAVE YOU THE COURAGE TO TAKE SUCH A HUGE RISK, HAVE YOU BEEN WATCHING THE LOCAL LEAGUE?

KESHI: Ive not really been watching the local league but ive got more a wonderful set of assistant coaches who’s has been helpful in the identification and selection of boys from the local league, we will continue training with them and I want to thank the NFF for giving us the opportunity to play several friendly matches that has exposed them and that has given them I little bit of experience, what surprised me is that they play well and what surprised me is that this Namibia team, ,most of them are local players, Malawi and Rwanda most of them are local players so why cant we give our local players the same opportunity to play, why do we have to go to Europe and search for players, Ethiopia n team that went to Benin and beat them at home to 1 - 0 are local players so why are we denying our home based players the same opportunity

SPORTDIVA: WHEN ARE WE EXPECTING THE OTHER PLAYERS YOU MENTIONED EARLIER ON, PROFESSIONALS LIKE OSAZE, MIKEL, AIYEGBENI AND CO?

KESHI: anytime very soon I guess we might have to call them, and if they are ready to play for Nigeria you see its not about coming to Nigeria it should be about coming and playing for Nigeria if any player wants to use that opportunity to come for holiday and relax I will not tolerate but I want a player that will really give his best and give back to Nigeria, because 90% of this players abroad used Nigeria as a stepping stone to get to where they are so I don’t see no reason why any player will want to come to play for Nigeria and we have a different attitude, it should be 120% positive attitude or you don’t come

SPORTDIVA: WHATS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE BOYS LIKE?

KESHI: I want to say its good, we talk, we have an open policy that if you have anything t5hats mothering you, say it, if I have offended you as a coach, talk to me and vice versa I don’t have a skeleton in my cupboard I’m open, the relationship is a father/brother type and of course we have a line that we cannot cross there’s a border and theres a rule of law in camp and it cannot go beyond that line and if it goes beyond that line then it wont be okay.

SPORTDIVA: FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY OF NIGERIAN FOOTBALL, A HOMEBASED PLAYER WAS GIVEN THE MVP(MOST VALUABLE PLAYER) AWARD DURING AN INTERNATIONAL MATCH, HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THIS MILESTONE?

KESHI:at first I didn’t even realize that they gave Reuben Gabriel the MVP it was when I got to the hotel that I was told that hes MVP of that match you know I was like wow that’s awesome, im happy for him because honestly speaking they’ve all be working hard everyone of my homebased and all the foreign based it’s a shame oduamadi got injured the same thing as ehiosun but I don’t have any wrong thing to say about them, their attitude has been wonderful and I congratulate them for that.

SPORTDIVA: WHATS YOUR EXPECTATION FOR THE NATIONS CUP AND WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS?

KESHI: lets wait for that after the draws would have been made, but for now I don’t have anything to say.

SPORTDIVA: ON A PERSONAL NOTE COACH HOW MANY KIDS DO YOU HAVE?

KESHI: Ive got 5 children and they are all doing well, they live in the US

SPORTDIVA: HOW DO YOU COPE NOT BEING WITH THEM FOR THIS LONG, HOPE YOU ARE NOT DISTRACTED?

KESHI: I miss them a lot, I miss my wife I want to be with her, I have three of my kids graduated from school 2 from university but I couldn’t go, one graduated on Saturday the day of our match, one graduated Saturday when we played in Malawi, one also graduated on Thursday with masters degree and im not there, it’s a lifetime opportunity but I’m not there , these are the sacrifices we have to take they understand I spoke to them they just take it from there.

SPORTDIVA: FINALLY COACH, HOW DO YOU UNWIND, WHAT DO YOU DO APART FROM FOOTBALL?
KESHI: I watch African magic, I love watching Africa magic, I appreciate
stephen keshi

my brothers I think there’s a lot of talents and a lot of wisdom and things that I don’t know about Nigeria because its been a long time since I left and I enjoy their movies
