To the tune of City anthem Blue Moon, it goes: “Boo hoo, you dirty old Red, You’ve sh*gged in your brother’s bed,

“Boo hoo, we can’t even say your name.”

Dave said: “Let’s be honest, if City fans can’t stick one up him and give him a right dig, then who can?”

But United fans plan to drown out City supporters’ catcalls with their own songs about 37-year-old Ryan.

United chant writer Pete Boyle, 41, said he will lead classic tributes to the Welsh midfielder to counter the jeers. He said: “Sorry to be boring but none of Ryan’s fantastic achievements with United will ever be taken away.

“We’ll sing our normal songs supporting him, and are ready to adapt any crude opposition songs and sing them back.”

A United insider added: “Ryan knows the heat will be on him from the terraces and he’s prepared for that.”
