BREAKING NEWS; FIFA Hammered Nigeria for EIGHT months and also fined with €85,000




The NIGERIA FOOTBALL FEDERATION (NFF) have seen the wrath of the football governing body FIFA by disqualified, suspended and banned them for EIGHT months with additional fine of €85,000 for their lack of controlling and have a proper administration.

In a statement released by FIFA spokesperson Mr. Brian WITZFED at the FIFA headquarter in Zurich Switzerland that NFF have failed to meet up with the FIFA rules under article 96C of the body regulation that government must not intervene anyhow to the country's football association.

In line with this suspension, Nigeria will not be able to take part in all FIFA tournament they have qualified with starting from the CONFEDERATION cup in Brazil in June, WYC for Flying eagles in CUBA, AYC and WYC for Golden eaglet later in the year and Women's World Cup.

The issue of the NPFL not been able to find a sponsor for the league is also a topical issue as NFF is always seeking fund from the government and not been able to account for the money spent has also catch the attention of the football governing body and the election of the league bodies that always been abruptly mal-handled is a major concern as well.

The official of the NFF led by Alhaji MAIGARI also admitted and willing to appeal against this harsh decision by FIFA and will jet-out to Zurich in early hour on tuesday to make sure that this decision is averted. It was recalled that FIFA have warned the NFF several times on this issue but as they didn't comply they will face the punishment, FIFA spokesman MR WITZFED submitted...............
