Tahiti goalkeeper fears double digits against Spain

Tahiti goalkeeper fears double digits against Spain
The shot-stopper realises his side face a tough task to keep the world champions in check when they lock horns on Thursday

Tahiti goalkeeper Mikael Roche fears Spain could hit double digits in Thursday's Confederations Cup encounter, but has stressed the Oceania champions' main objective is to leave the pitch with their heads held high.

Roche started his side's opening game against Nigeria from the bench and saw his colleague Xavier Samin concede six goals against the Afcon champions.

The 30-year-old will consequently get the nod against la Roja, but is under no illusion of the task in front of him.

"We are not ashamed of losing by a large margin. I have little doubt that Spain could hit double digits if they want to," Rocha told Marca.

"Our main objective is to fight with dignity. It's a normal occurrence if Spain come out victorious. They are professionals, while we aren't. We will give our utmost, though.

"We will respect Spain and will not try to get at them by kicking them."

Thursday's match is scheduled to kick off at 21:00CET.
